Makenzie LehmanThe Community Foundation for Crawford County is pleased to introduce Makenzie Lehman, a 2024 recipient of the Noah Skylar Lear Scholarship award.

Makenzie, the daughter of Brock Michael Lehman and Kristin Kathleen Lehman, is a 2024 graduate of Galion High School. She will be attending Bowling Green State University this fall and studying Flight Technology and Operations.

What inspired you to choose your intended major?

"From a very young age, I have been fascinated by aviation. While on family vacations, I was more interested in the airplanes than the actual destination. By sophomore year, I knew I wanted to pursue a career in aviation. Last spring, I went on a discovery flight and later began taking flying lessons!"

What are your career and life goals after you graduate?

"After graduating from Bowling Green, I plan to become a flight instructor. Instructing will allow me to gain experience and build my flight hours. Once the necessary requirements are met, I hope to advance on to the airlines. My long-term career goal is to become an airline pilot for a major U.S. airline!"

Congratulations and good luck in the future, Makenzie!
