The Community Foundation for Crawford County is pleased to introduce Sierra Frost, a 2024 recipient of one of the 20 Margaret and Donald Wenner, MD Scholarship awards.
Sierra, the daughter of Tim Frost and Joy Bowman, is a 2023 graduate of Bucyrus High School. She is in her second year of a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration specialized in Management at Bowling Green State University.
What is your favorite aspect of college life and why?
"My favorite part about Bowling Green so far is how involved students can be in the community through service work. I think it is great how accessible events are and how easy it is for students to create their own service events."
What new interests or courses of study have you discovered at college?
"At BGSU, I really enjoy the student organizations I am a part of. So far, I have earned a certificate through the Leadership Institute, became a member of the largest women's business group on campus, and earned myself the post of secretary in a brand new Human Resources program."
In what way has the college experience changed/improved you?
"Through community involvement at BGSU, I feel like I have become a more leadership- and service-oriented person."
What advice would you give an incoming college freshman?
"Go out and do the things you are scared to do. It might be your only chance, and you will meet lots of great people!"
What is one item on your bucket list and why?
"One item on my bucket list is to go to a concert. I know it might seem basic to most people, but I have never been to one, and I would just love to experience it."
