The Community Foundation for Crawford County is pleased to introduce Steven Glew, a 2024 recipient of one of the six Arlene H. Smith Scholarship awards.
Steven, the son of Michael Joseph Glew and Lucinda Marie Glew, is a 2024 graduate of Galion High School. He will be attending Ashland University this fall and studying Nursing.What inspired you to choose your intended major?
"I was inspired to study nursing while in college by many people in my life, whom all have had a profound impact on my life in one way or another. My parents have always taught me to put others first and my close friends always remind me of my passion for helping those in need."
What are your career and life goals after you graduate?
"After I graduate from Ashland University, I plan to work in Cardiac Recovery and ICU. Following that stint in my career, I look to work as a flight nurse for a medical helicopter service. I hope to be serving people of my community and area."
