Hannah GrunkemeyerThe Community Foundation for Crawford County is pleased to introduce Hannah Grunkemeyer, a 2025 recipient of one of three Merle and Peg Hutson Scholarship awards.

Hannah, the daughter of Amanda Rene Grunkemeyer and Daniel Lewis Grunkemeyer, is a 2025 graduate of Crestline High School. Hannah will be attending Ursuline College this fall and studying Fashion Design.

What inspired you to choose your intended major?

"I was inspired to choose the fashion design major after spending four years learning to sew. I first took a textiles class at Crestline with Mrs. Bruce and slowly developed my skills, especially with pants making. I first heard of Ursuline College as a junior, but it wasn't until my senior year when I realized I wanted to focus my studies in the world of fashion, which is a choice I am still happy I made to this day."

What are your career and life goals after you graduate?

"I have many paths I see myself taking. The clearest path I want to take is to double major in fashion design and merchandising and, after graduating, to start a business in Crestline or at least somewhere in the Crawford area. With my major, I will have to have an internship, and I'd like it to be from a company in Crawford County. Another path, if I am given the opportunity, is to work as a costume designer in theater or films in places from Ohio to Toronto, Canada."

Congratulations and good luck in the future, Hannah!
