The Community Foundation for Crawford County is pleased to introduce Isaac Parsons, a 2025 recipient of one of the two James E. Huggins, Sr. and Margaret M. Huggins Agricultural Scholarship awards, one of the six L. Earl Smith Scholarship awards, and one of the five Robert Schwaderer Scholarship awards.
Isaac, the son of Josephine Parsons and Steven Patrick Parsons, is a 2025 graduate of Buckeye Central High School. He is attending The Ohio State University this fall and studying Agricultural Engineering.
What inspired you to choose your intended major?
"I have found a passion for Agriculture and a passion for Engineering. Agricultural Engineering allows me to combine the two and even look into innovative solutions for modern agriculture problems. As such, I can also make modern agriculture amenities such as drones more cost effective. I plan to work with drones as I also find them extremely fascinating."
What are your career and life goals after you graduate?
"I plan to find a way to work with drones after I graduate- either running my own business doing application work, working in that field, or moving to Japan to design the drones. I thoroughly enjoy the process behind the drone application work and find it very rewarding. It is a true passion of mine, and I hope to be in a stable career and have a family as well as owning or building my own house within the next 10 years."
Congratulations and good luck in the future, Isaac!
