The Community Foundation for Crawford County is pleased to introduce Kensie Pitt, a 2025 recipient of one of the three Merle and Peg Hutson Scholarship awards.
Kensie, the daughter of Brandie Pitt and Eric Pitt, is a 2025 graduate of Crestline High School. She is attending Ashland University this fall and studying Nursing.
What inspired you to choose your intended major?
"I have always wanted to go into health care. I love that it gives the opportunity to give back to the community and make a difference in people's lives. I chose nursing because it allows for me to be hands on with patient care. I like that there are many different types of nurses giving me endless options after graduation."
What are your career and life goals after you graduate?
"After I graduate, I plan to work as a registered nurse. More specifically, I want to work in labor and delivery or OB/GYN. After working for a few years, I wish to further my skills and knowledge and become a women's health nurse practitioner. In between my college and career journey, I hope to start a family and travel the world, hopefully getting to see Greece some day."
Congratulations and good luck in the future, Kensie!
