Megan StockmasterThe Community Foundation for Crawford County is pleased to introduce Megan Stockmaster, a 2025 recipient of one of the nine Glen and Alice Beers Scholarship awards.

Megan, the daughter of Dawn Daubenspeck and David Daubenspeck, is a 2017 graduate of Colonel Crawford High School. She is in her third year of a Bachelor's Degree, studying to become a Physician Assistant at University of Findlay.

What is your favorite aspect of college life and why?

"My favorite aspect of college life is meeting new people and forming new friendships with fellow classmates. I got the opportunity to work as a part-time ultrasound lab instructor at UF, and I am very much looking forward to fulfilling that role and helping students be successful."

What new interests or courses of study have you discovered at college?

"A new interest/course of study that I have discovered at UF is Gerontology, which is the study of aging and older adults. I have worked in the healthcare field the last eight years as an ultrasound technologist, and this course has helped me to enhance my patient care skills to better serve my patients."

In what way has the college experience changed/improved you?

"The college experience has expanded my knowledge and skill base beyond what I ever thought I could achieve."

What advice would you give an incoming college freshman?

"My best advice for incoming freshman is to live in the moment. Life is so fast paced, and the weeks sometimes get busy and stressful. Don't forget to live in the moment and enjoy the little things. The days are long, but the time goes so fast!"

What is one item on your bucket list and why?

"One item on my bucket list is to visit each US state and all of the National Parks. Traveling to new places with my family is one of my favorite things to do."

Congratulations and good luck in the future, Megan!
