The Community Foundation for Crawford County is pleased to introduce Xavier Matthias Snyder, a 2025 recipient of one of the 10 Kenneth Cummins Scholarship awards.
Xavier, the son of Kimberly Dawn Snyder and Matthew James Snyder, is a 2025 graduate of Buckeye Central High School. He is attending The Ohio State University- Mansfield this fall and studying Computer Information Science.
What inspired you to choose your intended major?
"I have always been fascinated with how technology works behind the scenes. Over time, this has grown into an interest in solving problems with technology. CIS can help me do that because it blends real life problem solving with innovation."
What are your career and life goals after you graduate?
"After graduation, I aspire to become a software engineer. I want to build software that can solve real-life problems and help people. Beyond just my career, I want to live a life where I'm continuously learning and contributing to something meaningful in the world."
Congratulations and good luck in the future, Xavier!
