The Community Foundation for Crawford County is pleased to introduce Adalyn Zornes, a 2026 recipient of one of the six Crawford County Sports Hall of Fame Scholarship awards, one of the three Kiwanis Kahle-Wenner Scholarship awards, and one of the 20 Margaret and Donald Wenner, MD Scholarship awards.
Adalyn, the daughter of Tammy Zornes and Randy Zornes, is a 2026 graduate of Bucyrus High School. She is attending Marion Technical College and studying Radiologic Technology.
What inspired you to choose your intended major?
"I have always hated hospitals due to bad experiences as a kid. As I got older, I developed health problems that required me to visit the doctor. During one of my visits, a radiologic technician was so kind and made me enjoy the experience. I want to pursue a degree in radiologic technology so I can be the radiologic technologist who brings happiness to scared children and people who hate hospitals because of bad experiences. I want to be the good experience for the many people who need it."
What are your career and life goals after you graduate?
"After graduation, I plan to work at a hospital close to my family and my hometown of Bucyrus. I also hope to buy a home nearby and build a happy, stable life with my family. My goal is to have a career that allows me to help others while staying connected to the community that has shaped who I am."
Congratulations and good luck in the future, Adalyn!
