Posted by Rachel Jarvis on Tue, Oct 27, 2026

Andrew AshleyThe Community Foundation for Crawford County is pleased to introduce Andrew Ashley, a 2026 recipient of one of the 20 Margaret and Donald Wenner, MD Scholarship awards.

Andrew, the son of Michelle Ashley and Curtis Ashley, is a 2026 graduate of Bucyrus High School. He is attending Heidelberg University and studying Accounting.

What inspired you to choose your intended major?

"I think becoming an accounting major would be the best choice for me. I love doing math and being able to solve problems, and becoming an accountant would let me do both of these things while having a good career. Because I have an interest in accounting, and it fits what I want to do, I feel majoring in accounting would be a good choice for me."

What are your career and life goals after you graduate?

"I want to become an accountant and continue to better myself. I would love to be a CPA and work at a firm I enjoy. I would like to continue lifting and be a more healthy person. I would like to eventually have a family once I get a stable job and meet the right person."

Congratulations and good luck in the future, Andrew!
