The Community Foundation for Crawford County is pleased to introduce Briar Ridge, a 2026 recipient of one of the two Nancy Angene Johnson Scholarship awards.
Briar, the son of Toni Ridge and Brett Ridge, is a 2025 graduate of Wynford High School. He is attending The Ohio State University Marion and studying Electrical Engineering.
What is your favorite aspect of college life and why?
"When I start college at OSU Marion this fall, I really look forward to meeting new people from different areas of the state. I hope that I can become friends with some of my classmates and make relationships that will last throughout my life after graduation. It would also be great to have a group of friends within my major where we could help each other out with those courses."
What is one item on your bucket list and why?
"One item on my college bucket list is to see the Buckeyes play at The Shoe. As a lifelong Buckeyes fan, this is something I have always wanted to do, which has become much more possible now that I'm attending Ohio State. I can't wait to put on my OSU gear and cheer for the Buckeyes this fall!"
Congratulations and good luck in the future, Briar!
