The Community Foundation for Crawford County is pleased to introduce Cade Farrell, a 2026 recipient of the Daryl E. Stucky Memorial Scholarship award, one of the two Dustin T. Stover Scholarship awards, and the Schiefer Family Scholarship award.
Cade, the son of Melinda Farrell and John Farrell, is a 2026 graduate of Wynford High School. He is attending Ohio University and studying Mechanical Engineering.
What inspired you to choose your intended major?
"I was inspired to study mechanical engineering by a fascination for machines and mathematics. During my time taking flight lessons in Bucyrus, I got to learn a lot about aircraft and how they work. I'm going into engineering to further my understanding and strive for a future where I can work with planes."
What are your career and life goals after you graduate?
"After graduation, I plan to go into the aviation industry as an aerospace engineer. I'll work designing planes and new technology. Long term, I hope to have a job designing entirely new aircraft and contributing to the field."
Congratulations and good luck in the future, Cade!
