The Community Foundation for Crawford County is pleased to introduce Cole Brown, a 2026 recipient of one of the four Wynford FFA Rising Sun Scholarship awards.
Cole, the son of Keri Brown and Tad Brown, is a 2026 graduate of Wynford High School. He is attending Miami University and studying Chemical Engineering.
What inspired you to choose your intended major?
"What inspired me to choose chemical engineering was the versatility in the field. Everything goes through some kind of chemical engineering at some point, and the various fields of the degree was one of the biggest selling points to me. Additionally, the ability to change the world by being an engineer was something that has always been a draw to me, and I found chemical engineering to suit what I want to do best."
What are your career and life goals after you graduate?
"After college graduation, I plan to move west and go into either the natural gas industry or the pharmaceutical production. I also plan to obtain my master's degree at a different college upon graduate while working for a company in one of those fields."
