The Community Foundation for Crawford County is pleased to introduce Elliott Freyman, a 2026 recipient of one of the six Crawford County Sports Hall of Fame Scholarship awards.
Elliott, the daughter of Amanda Freyman and Troy Freyman, is a 2026 graduate of Galion High School. She is attending Bowling Green State University this fall and studying Individualized Business.
What inspired you to choose your intended major?
"My decision to pursue an Individualized Business major was inspired by my long-term goal of opening a luxury spa in Crawford County. Ever since beginning my esthetics training at Tri-Rivers Career Center, I have discovered a passion not only for skincare and wellness, but also for the business side of the beauty industry. I realized that in order to successfully own and operate a spa, I would need more than technical esthetics skills. I would also need a strong understanding of entrepreneurship, marketing, finance, and management. The Individualized Business program at Bowling Green State University is the perfect fit for me because it allows me to tailor my education toward the specific skills needed to achieve my career goals. Through this program, I will be able to combine my passion for esthetics with practical business training that will prepare me to become a successful business owner. Alongside my college education, I am currently working toward earning my esthetics license, which will provide the hands-on experience and professional knowledge necessary to provide high-quality services in the future."
What are your career and life goals after you graduate?
"In five years, I see myself graduated from college, fully licensed as an esthetician, and actively working in the industry to continue building my experience. I hope to work alongside experienced professionals, refine my skills, and continue learning advanced techniques and new trends within skincare and wellness. During that time, I also plan to build a strong client base, develop my brand, and financially prepare to open my own spa."
