What is your favorite aspect of college life and why?
"My favorite aspect of college life is just being in the atmosphere of it all. I love being around so many different people from diverse backgrounds and getting to hear their stories. There are also so many opportunities to try new things, get involved, and make connections."
What new interests or courses of study have you discovered at college?
"One new interest I discovered at college is learning and working with the IDD population! I had the amazing opportunity to work and complete my internship with this population, and it made me realize that this is something I want to do as a career. I love being able to help others and and advocate for those who are unable to do so themselves."
In what way has the college experience changed/improved you?
"I believe my college experience has made me more mature and independent. It has pushed me out of my comfort zone and helped me learn more about who I am and what I want to do in the future."
What advice would you give an incoming college freshman?
"One piece of advice that I would give an incoming college freshman is do not to be afraid to branch out. This is your chance to start fresh, and you may even discover new things about yourself!"
What is one item on your bucket list and why?
"One thing on my bucket list is to try In-N-Out Burger! I'm from the East Coast, so I've never had the chance. I'm a huge foodie and love trying new places, especially ones people rave about!"
Congratulations and good luck in the future, Emma!
