The citizens of Crawford County have once again helped The Community Foundation for Crawford County suprass it's goal for our annual fundraising day. On November 29,  #GivingTuesday, the collective power of the individuals, communities and organizations of Crawford County and beyond, raised funds totaling $111,100.45! These funds go directly to the endowment funds of the organizations here at the Foundation. $13,025.20 of that total was raised for the Unrestricted fund at the CF4CC! This money is specifically earmarked for grant awards, once again supporting Crawford County, to improve the lives of its citizens.

“This year's event exceeded all expectations," explained Lisa Workman, the Foundation's President. "Donors like knowing that their gift inspired a second one, as our Board set aside $25,000 to distribute to our participating funds on a pro-rated basis. So the more a fund raised, the larger piece of that $25,000 pie it received! We are grateful to live in such a generous community!" The funal tally of $111,100 supassed last year's event by over $25,000, and when combined with the Foundation Board's commitment resulted in $135,000 being distributed to good causes in Crawford County.

"Thanks to a gift to the Foundation from Enterprise Holdings Foundation via Ohio Mutual Insurance Group, an additional $500 was added to the top eaning fund in one of each of three categories: agency funds, scholarship funds and the school funds. Those winners are the Crawford County Community Concert Association Endowment Fund, the Pry Scholarship Fund, and the Galion Community Education Foundation Fund."

"This was a record fundraiser for us," exclaimed Justin McMullen, Foundation Board member and Chair of their Development Committee. "Thanks to a gift to the Foundation from Enterprise Holdings Foundation via Mutual Ohio Insurance Group, an additional $500 was added to the top earning fund in one of each of three categories: agency funds, scholarship funds and the school funds. Those winners are the Crawford County Communty Concert Association Endowment Fund, the Pry Scholarship Fund, and the Galion Community Education Foundation Fund."

Next year's #Giving2sday will be held on Tuesday, November 28, 2017.
