2025 new board members

At their September Board meeting, The Community Foundation for Crawford County Board of Trustees welcomed four new Board members: Sebastian Berger, Jan Fulton, Clayton Herold, and Zoe Kent.

Berger is an attorney with Garner & Berger, LLP in Crestline, having graduated from the University of Akron School of Law in 2003. He has many other volunteer roles throughout the community, including with Crestline Child Care, Salvation Army, and Waycraft. Berger’s wife, Jessica, also previously served two terms on the Foundation’s Board.

Fulton and her husband, Al, previously owned and operated the Dexter Company, a business which sells roadside mowers, snowplows, salt spreaders and truck packages from their Bucyrus location. After decades in business, they retired and sold that company earlier this year to some of its current employees. Appreciating the value of education, Jan and Al started a scholarship fund with the Foundation back in 2022, and since retirement, Jan stays active with Bucyrus First Presbyterian Church.

Herold is Assistant Vice President of Commercial Lending with Park National Bank and has been in the banking industry since 2001. His extensive Crawford County involvement includes various roles with the Crawford Partnership, Crestline Lions Club, Crestline Community Development Team, Crestline Youth Sports, and Crestline Exempted Village School District Board of Education. He has also previously served as Crestline council member and mayor, and as a member of the Foundation’s Development Committee.

Kent is an eighth-generation farmer at Kent Farms, a family farm on the outskirts of Bucyrus that’s been in the family since 1820. She has a Bachelor’s Degree in Agricultural Business from The Ohio State University, where she was also a cheerleader. As a “farm fluencer,” she has one of the largest social media communities in agriculture under the handle “@farmwithzoe,” where she posts videos of her daily farming life on Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, TikTok, and other social media platforms. Kent also coaches cheerleading for Wynford schools, her alma mater.

Board members already serving on the Foundation Board are Adam Paynter (Chair), Wayne Kohler (Vice-Chair), Dave Riedel (Secretary), Zach Chatlain (Treasurer), Deb Cameron, Kevin Kimmel, Erin McMullen, and Joe Walsh.

The Community Foundation for Crawford County is a tax-exempt, public, charitable foundation whose vision is bridging philanthropy with causes that improve Crawford County’s quality of life.
