That’s okay – just date your check for 12/1/20, make it payable to The Community Foundation for Crawford County, and write the name of the fund(s) you want your gift to support in the Note/Memo line of your check. Then mail or drop off your check in our secure mailbox behind the Foundation at 254 E. Mansfield Street, Bucyrus, Ohio 44820. To keep everyone safe during this pandemic, our lobby will continue to be closed, but we will be checking our secure mailbox every hour on #Giving2sday. A week from today on Dec. 1st, we observe #GivingTuesday not only locally but globally to encourage philanthropy and celebrate generosity. Our Foundation’s annual event is #Giving2sday. Did you know that every donation on #Giving2sday generates an additional donation to the fund(s) of the donor's choice? It’s no joke – it’s true. The Foundation has set aside $25,000 to distribute to our participating funds on a pro-rated basis. We are also pleased to announce that this year, The Mason Companies, our investment manager, is contributing an additional $2,500 to this pool for a total of $27,500. In order to be eligible to receive the second donation, checks must be dated 12/1/20. However, every donation made ONLINE from NOW THROUGH DECEMBER 1, 2020 is automatically eligible.
