Kennedie, the daughter of Kevin Winkler and Shellie Smith, is a 2018 graduate of Crestline High School. She plans to attend The Ohio State University – Mansfield Campus this fall and study early childhood education.

One teacher in particular inspired Kennedie to choose to major in early childhood education. She stated, “My mentor teacher, Mrs. North, whom I chose through my program at Pioneer, has been a huge inspiration. I have always known that I wanted to be a teacher, but Mrs. North took my dream to a new level.” After graduation, Kennedie would like to teach in the local community. “I’d like to stay local…to teach in a district similar to Crestline,” Kennedie explained. “My dream is to be a first grade teacher.”

Congratulations and good luck in the future, Kennedie!
