Organizations that are qualified to apply for grants from The Community Foundation for Crawford County are reminded of the upcoming December 31, 2017 deadline.
Qualified organizations are classified as 501(c)3 of the Internal Revenue Code, as well as governmental organizations such as counties, cities and public schools (school or system wide grants only). The other grant deadline dates are April 30 and August 31, 2018.Read More
For the 4th year, The Community Foundation for Crawford County held their annual fundraiser, #Giving2sday, on the global day of giving that occurred this year on November 28.
“We are thrilled that this year’s event exceeded last year’s,” explained Lisa Workman, the Foundation’s President. “Donors like knowing that their gift inspired a second one, as our Board set aside $35,000 to distribute to our participating funds on a pro-rated basis. We are grateful to live in such a generous community!” The final tally of $120,500 which donors raised combined with the Foundation Board’s commitment means that $155,500 is being distributed to good causes in Crawford County.Read More

At their meeting last week, the Community Foundation for Crawford County Board of Trustees decided to INCREASE the amount being donated towards the #Giving2sday event from $25,000 to $35,000! That means that for every donation received, the second gift generated by the Foundation will be even larger! The Community Foundation for Crawford County has again joined #GivingTuesday, a global day of giving that harnesses the collective power of individuals, communities and organizations to encourage philanthropy and to celebrate generosity worldwide. Occurring this year on November 28, #GivingTuesday is held annually on the first Tuesday after Thanksgiving (in the U.S.). The widely recognized shopping events Black Friday and Cyber Monday are used to kick-off the holiday giving season and inspire people to collaborate in improving their local communities.Read More
