2020 National Philanthropy Day FB Post

The Community Foundation for Crawford County would like to wish you "Happy National Philanthropy Day" and thank the individuals, businesses and organizations who give and work together to enrich our communities, countries and the world!

In 1986, President Reagan first proclaimed November 15 as National Philanthropy Day. Ever since, we celebrate this day annually to reflect on the impact of philanthropy and recognize those active in the philanthropic community.  Philanthropy literally means "love of humanity," but a more modern definition is "giving gifts of time, talent and treasure to help make life better for other people." People who give are called philanthropists, but you don't need to be rich in order to give of your "time, talent and treasure." On National Philanthropy Day, no act of kindness goes unnoticed. #NationalPhilanthropyDay #Give #Volunteer #CommunityFndWeek
