Like so many standing traditions, The Community Foundation for Crawford County had to cancel their annual “Evening of Philanthropy” event this year, an evening normally set aside to show appreciation for their donors. The Community Foundation for Crawford County recently thanked their donors with an Evening of Philanthropy at the new home of the Crestline Historical Society at 400 S. Scott Street, Crestline, Ohio. Contributors from around Crawford County braved the cold weather to gather and enjoy food, drinks, socializing, and tours of the museum.
The 2019 Spirit of Philanthropy Award was presented by Foundation Board Chair, Dr. Pete Maynard, and President, Lisa Workman, via a surprise video to this year’s recipient, Tom Holtshouse, who was unable to attend. Mr. Holtshouse is a tireless volunteer and a generous donor to many worthwhile organizations and their causes in our community.Read More
