The Community Foundation for Crawford County is pleased to introduce Kaitlyn Best, a 2024 recipient of the Jan and Al Fulton Scholarship award.

Kaitlyn, the daughter of Richard Best and Angela Best, is a 2023 graduate of Buckeye Central High School. She is in her second year of an Associate's Degree in Psychology at Bowling Green State University.

Sophia, the daughter of Clifford Beck and Rami Beck, is a 2023 graduate of Colonel Crawford High School. She is in her first year of a Bachelor's Degree in Agribusiness Management at University of Northwestern Ohio.

Douglas, the son of Gregg Weinandy and Terri Searcy, is a 2004 graduate of Bucyrus High School. He is in his second year of a Doctorate in Criminal Justice at Liberty University.

Sarah, the daughter of Dennis Metzger and Karen Sisson, is a 1996 graduate of Wynford High School. She is in her second year of an Associate's Degree in Registered Nursing at North Central State College.

The Community Foundation Awards Over $197,000 in Scholarships

The Community Foundation for Crawford County recently awarded over $197,000 in scholarships to both graduating seniors and current college students. As President Lisa Workman explained, “These results are from 36 of the 37 scholarship funds held here at the Foundation. Of the 120 individual scholarships awarded, $101,000, or roughly 51%, went to college students, and 34 of them were renewals. We are thrilled to see that college students from Crawford County still apply for our scholarships and hope that keeping their college debt down will also help prevent drop-out.”

2023 Samuel Neff Fellowship for International Study Recipient: Samuel Rager

Samuel, the son of Charles Rager and Lori Rager, is a 2021 graduate of Bucyrus High School and is currently attending Columbia University. Samuel is studying abroad in Sydney, Australia.
