The Community Foundation for Crawford County is pleased to introduce Malia Ervin, a 2024 recipient of one of the three Kiwanis Kahle-Wenner Scholarship awards, the Larry Schiefer Memorial Scholarship award, and one of the 19 Margaret and Donald Wenner, MD Scholarship awards.
Malia, the daughter of Anthony Ervin and Jamie Ervin, is a 2024 graduate of Wynford High School. She will be attending Heidelberg University this fall and studying Psychology.

The Community Foundation for Crawford County recently awarded over $197,000 in scholarships to both graduating seniors and current college students. As President Lisa Workman explained, “These results are from 36 of the 37 scholarship funds held here at the Foundation. Of the 120 individual scholarships awarded, $101,000, or roughly 51%, went to college students, and 34 of them were renewals. We are thrilled to see that college students from Crawford County still apply for our scholarships and hope that keeping their college debt down will also help prevent drop-out.”
