 The Community Foundation for Crawford County is pleased to introduce  Michael Walsh, Jr., a 2023 recipient of one of the nine Glen and Alice Beers  Scholarship awards.

 Michael, the son of Michael Jason Walsh, Sr. and Ellyn Elizabeth Weiser, is a  2022 graduate of Colonel Crawford High School. He will be entering his second  year of Bachelor’s Degree in Communication at Ashland University this fall.

 The Community Foundation for Crawford County is pleased to introduce  Jackson Moody, a 2023 recipient of one of the nine Glen and Alice Beers  Scholarship awards and one of the 19 Margaret and Donald Wenner, MD  Scholarship awards. 

 Jackson, the son of Charles Moody and Amy O'Connell, is a 2019 graduate of  Bucyrus High School. He will be entering his first year of graduate school to  obtain his Master of Divinity at Nazarene Theological Seminary this fall.

 Jalynn, the daughter of Randy Diller Jr. and Nicole Diller, is a 2023 graduate of  Bucyrus High School. She will be attending Mount Vernon Nazarene University  this fall and studying Music Education.

 Brandon, the son of Michael K. Vent and Angela M. Vent, is a 2023 graduate of  Wynford High School. He will be attending the University of Northwestern Ohio  this fall and studying Robotics Engineering.

 Kaitlyn, the daughter of Mr. Richard Best and Ms. Angela Best, is a 2023   graduate of Buckeye Central High School. She will be attending Bowling Green   State University this fall and studying Psychology.

Foundation Announces 2023 Scholarship Recipients

The Community Foundation for Crawford County recently awarded over $206,000 in scholarships to both graduating seniors and current college students. As President Lisa Workman explained, “These results are from 34 of the 37 scholarship funds held here at the Foundation. Of the 122 individual scholarships awarded, $88,000, or roughly 42%, went to college students, and 34 of them were renewals. We are thrilled to see that college students from Crawford County still apply for our scholarships and hope that keeping their college debt down will also help prevent drop-out.”
